Action Agent is an autonomous agent from the enterprise AI company WRITER. It breaks a request into steps and carries them out in its own sandboxed Linux environment, using a browser, terminal, files and code, and connects to over 600 tools through MCP. It launched in beta for WRITER customers in July 2025, and in November 2025 WRITER folded it, together with its Ask WRITER chatbot, into a single product called WRITER Agent.
