Developers juggling local and cloud agents in one editor; the free plan is light, and the product now goes by Devin Desktop.
Kenning's take
What it does
Windsurf 2.0 is a version of the Windsurf AI code editor that adds the Agent Command Center, a Kanban board showing every local and cloud agent by status. Spaces group agent sessions, pull requests, files and context for one task, and Devin, Cognition's cloud agent, can take a plan and work on it on its own virtual machine. Windsurf has since been renamed Devin Desktop, with plans and pricing unchanged.
- Agent Command Center Kanban view of local and cloud agents
- Spaces that group sessions, PRs, files and context
- Devin cloud agent built into the editor
- Review Devin pull requests inside the editor
- Unlimited Tab completions and inline edits on every plan
Who it suits. Software developers who run several AI coding agents at once and want them in one editor.
